Wardens under orders to fine
TRAFFIC wardens in London’s poshest borough were under orders to issue more than 300,000 tickets a year – or their bosses would be “fined”, it has emerged.
The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea council also demanded its parking enforcement firm tow a minimum 8,250 cars and clamp 15,000 more a year.
Failing to meet the minimum target of “agreed benchmarks” would mean that parking firm NSL would have to pay the difference themselves, the contract – obtained via a Freedom of Information
