Teacher’s sex toy blunder on Facebook

A TEACHER shocked pupils and parents with her Facebook pages boasting about buying a Rampant Rabbit sex toy, a disciplinary hearing heard.

Primary schoolteacher Elizabeth Scarlett, 50, was Facebook friends with mothers and kids as young as 11, and her headteacher hit out at her “improper” comments.

The disciplinary hearing was told how Mrs Scarlet – who organised a school exchange trip to South Africa – was reported by a colleague who saw a status about “pulling a big black man”.

Another said: “I’m thinking of buying a Rampant Rabbit.”

Headmaster Graham Phillips said: “I was shocked by what I saw on Facebook. I thought it was inappropriate and improper.”

Mrs Scarlet had taught at Trinant Primary School in Crumlin, South Wales, since 1993, but has since left due to ill health.

The General Teaching Council for Wales handed her an official reprimand which will stay on her records for two years.
