Talent has always been around

THERE were some bold claims on ITV1’S The Talent Show Story, not least from Amanda Holden: “Britain’s Got Talent has woken everyone up to the fact that dancing can be entertaining.”

Yeah, because nobody danced on stage before BGT. Fred and Ginger, Michael Jackson, Rudolf friggin’ Nureyev....they just swayed.

Maybe what she meant to say was: “BGT has woken everyone up to the fact that dancing on Piers Morgan’s face would be entertaining.”

Meanwhile, Carrie Grant revealed that BBC1 flop Fame Academy was based on a foreign format.

“The Spanish Fame Academy’s 10 contestants had the top ten places in the Spanish charts!” she gushed.

Sorry but have you ever heard Spanish pop music? The reason they love killing animals so much is that only the death shriek of a tortured donkey is enough to drown out the radio.
