CORONATION Street’s Tyrone Dobbs reckons he’s a real heart-throb – to GILFS!

Actor Alan Halsall, 29, who plays the mechanic in the top ITV1 soap, says he is forever being approached by female fans – but only because their GRANS love him.

Alan – married to former Corrie co-star Jo Hudson – said: “It’s weird. If I’m out, young girls will come up to me and I’ll think, ‘Oh, hello’.

“And then they’ll go ‘I just had to tell you that you’re my nan’s favourite’.

“I can pull grannies for fun! Oh, don’t write that…”

His character Tyrone is currently at the centre of a storyline involving his psychotic girlfriend Kirsty Soames (played by Natalie Gumede) and his mate Tina Mcintrye (Michelle Keegan).
