A MAN was arrested after breaking in to a delicatessen and eating £1,000 worth of food.

Anthony Tornowski is said to have been drinking when he forced his way into the store.

Cops say he entered through an unlocked door and helped himself to prepared food in a display case, scoffing on sushi, muffins, potato salad and roasted chicken.

Alerted by a motion alarm, the police found him hiding in the deli just FOUR MINUTES after he’d broken in.

Tornowski told police he’d entered the store with another person, but no one else was found and CCTV showed that he gave in to his cravings on his own. Food was found scattered all over the shop in Boulder, Colorado.

He was arrested on suspicion of burglary and released on a £400 bail.
