Players should grow up

THE fallout between Luis Suarez and Patrice Evra caused uproar after Suarez refused to shake Evra’s hand.

Suarez has already had an eight match ban for abusing Evra, surely he should have learned his lesson by now?

Footballers are supposed to be role models to young people and behaviour like this is simply pathetic. It’s right that they get hauled over the coals.

I imagine from what I know about the football world that there is probably more to this spat than meets the eye. But when fans and clubs are helping line the pockets of players with millions, the least they can do is act like grown-ups.
