HAM HORROR’S TORN IT FOR DJ
DJ CAMPBELL’ S nightmare season with injuries has continued with a hamstring tear that will keep him out for up to six weeks.
The QPR hitman has suffered from a virus, broken metatarsal and a hamstring complaint before the latest problem flared up during a training session.
Campbell (above) has started just two Premier League games this season but was hoping to add firepower to Mark Hughes’ attack.
Hughes has taken his squad to the Algarve as their training ground near Heathrow has been hit by the cold weather.
“We’ll get some work done there because we’re struggling at our training ground,” said Sparky.
“We have had to train at the stadium and we need to give it a break.
“It will give us the opportunity to have a couple of sessions a day and have a real understanding of what types of personalities we have and how they react to situations.”
