O’SHEA: EUR BIG CHANCE WILL COME

JOHN O’SHEA has hailed James Mcclean’s “amazing” impact on the Premier League.

And O’shea reckons his Sunderland team-mate is already a certainty to follow him into the Republic of Ireland team.

Mcclean has played only 10 games for Sunderland and missed out when the Irish squad was named for this month’s friendly against the Czech Republic.

But O’shea said: “James has been amazing for us and his time will come.

“He probably had so many people telling him that he was going to be in the squad that it will have been a bit disappointing for him.

“But, as the manager has said, he’s the future for Ireland and he’ll have plenty of time to get his caps.”
