HOOPS HOPE FOR JOY FROM DAN’S RED END

CELTIC have lodged an appeal with the Scottish FA over Daniel Majstorovic’s sending-off at the weekend.

The Hoops defender was shown a straight red card by referee Steven Mclean for a last-man challenge on Jonny Hayes during Saturday’s 1-0 SPL win over Inverness. The SFA have confirmed that a fast-track player reference has been received from Cetlic in relation to a “claim of wrongful dismissal for denying the opposing team a goal or obvious goal scoring opportunity.”

The matter will be dealt with by a fast-track tribunal on Thursday.
