Lad survives skydive crash
A SKYDIVER managed to escape “without a scratch” after slamming into the ground at 50mph when his parachute failed to open.
The unnamed 18-year-old was airlifted to hospital after the horror accident – but was released shortly afterwards.
At first it was feared he could have back, leg and neck injuries and he was taken by air ambulance to hospital in Glasgow.
A spokesman for Skydive Strathallan said: “His dad phoned earlier and, in his own words, he doesn’t have a scratch.”
The teenager came crashing down after a jump at Strathallan airfield near Perthshire, Scotland.
