Hollywood to make biopic of Michael Carroll’s riches to rags life

- By RACHEL SPENCER

THE wild life of Lotto lout Michael Carroll is set to be turned into a big budget Hollywood movie detailing his drink and drug-fuelled riches to rags story.

Carroll – who won nearly £10m a decade ago – blew all the cash on booze, cocaine, hookers and bad investments.

He’s so skint that he was in court last week for shoplifting a sandwich and some cans of cider while drunk.

Now the 28-year-old’s sensational tale has caught the eye of Tinseltown moguls who reckon it will make a riveting flick full of babes and bad behaviour.

One movie insider said last night: “It’s the ultimate rags to riches and back to rags story. You can’t get wilder than Mikey.

“We all dream of winning the Lottery. Mickey’s story is like a warning of how not to live your life if you do.

“In his heyday his mansion was like Hugh Hefner’s, only dirtier, and with drugs and less attractive women.

“The story of his life would be movie gold. Everyone who hears it is fascinated.

Chance

“Right now there are two options: a British production or a U.S. one which sets the whole thing to somewhere in the flyover states.

“It’s pitched as Brewster’s Millions without the happy ending. Mikey would love to be on board as it would give him a chance to make some money again.”

Since he scooped £9.7M on the lottery in 2002 aged 19, Carroll became Britain’s most notorious jackpot winner.

He frittered away the lot on high living, booze, drugs
