IT’S A SH*T JOB – AND IT’S DANGEROUS, TOO

-

LITTER wardens in Scotland have started wearing STAB-PROOF vests to protect them from angry dog walkers who refuse to pick up their pets’ POO.

Council wardens in Edinburgh who hand out fines to poop scoop dodgers have been assaulted and threatened.

Some of them have been threatened with knives and assaulted after handing out £40 fines to dog owners who let their mutts crap all over the pavement.

So council chiefs have taken the dramatic step and issued the environmental wardens with stab-proof vests.

One warden said: “People get very het up and aggressive. There have been instances where we’ve had to call the police.

“I was with a colleague a few months ago issuing a ticket and the man threatened to stab me.”
