Miss faces 40 years for sex with boy, 14

A BLONDE teaching assistant who had sex with a male student is facing 40 YEARS in prison for the crime.

Shannon Alicia Schmieder, 39, romped with a 14-year-old boy who was not a pupil at her school, but the son of a friend of hers.

Schmieder ( above) was like a parent to the boy, but when he turned 13 she changed and started acting like a friend to him.

Their friendship developed into a sexual one, confirmed when the boy’s parents saw his Facebook page.

The boy’s mother said: “She was a close family friend. It’s impossible to describe how we felt to find out this was going on.”

Schmieder, of Coweta County, Georgia, was a teaching assistant at Jefferson Parkway Elementary School, Newnan.

She pleaded guilty to two counts of child molestation and the judge gave her the maximum sentence of 20 to 40 years.

A court officer said: “She was treated the same as a man would.”
