DAYTIME RATINGS PHWOAR
BBC accused of sexing up Doctors to pull in viewers
But according to clean up TV campaigners it’s become steadily more saucy in the last 12 months.
Scenes criticised include 52-yearold Jan Pearson’s character Karen Hollins stripping down to a basque.
Other episodes include a lesbian kiss between Danielle Henry and Lu Corfield, as Mandy Marquez and Dr Freya Wilson, Kate (Emily Lawrence) in just a bra, and Margaret Clunie as Mary Dixon romping in her undies.
TV campaigner James Arford said: “The BBC are clearly chasing ratings, more and more people are out of work and they are trying to draw those viewers in with sex.
“It’s another example of the BBC pushing their leftwing libertarian views down our throats.
“We don’t need this when children are watching, or at anytime really.”
A BBC insider said: “This is a load of nonsense Doctors reflects real life. Real people have sex, it’s nonsense.” SOAP bosses at the BBC have been accused of turning daytime soap into a raunch-fest to lure in more viewers.
The show, about a GP’S practice in the fictional Midlands town of Leatherbridge, is known for its gentle storylines and familyfriendly plots.
