RORY DELAP insists that Stoke’s streetfighters are ready to battle for their Europa League lives. Delap is refusing to give up on the Potters’ continental adventure as they prepare for a monumental clash at the Mestalla.

Stoke suffered a blow last week when they lost the first leg at the Britannia Stadium to the La Liga aristocrats. It leaves Tony Pulis’ troops with a mountain to climb as they try to reach the last 16.

But Stoke have turned putting noses out of joint into an art form ever since their promotion to the Premier League.

And midfielder Delap (left) – famous for his huge, missile-like throw-ins – says the underdogs are preparing to rip up the script again and confound their critics.

He said: “We’re down, but not out – certainly not. We know how difficult it is going to be over there but we will give it a go.

“We are behind in the tie, but it’s only a goal. We have to go there, be positive and believe. Anything is possible.
