Adel all talk for Hughes

-

QPR boss Mark Hughes reckons

he will see the best from Adel Taarabt – by getting in

his ear every day. Taarabt struggled under boss Neil for mer Hoops W arnock but stunned team-mates

with his workrate during the r ecent

mid-season training camp in Portugal. Hughes said: “I understand his

abilities. If we can get him playing well consistently

and working har d for the team he will enjoy his football

and get mor e opportunities. “Every player gets advice on a daily

basis and Adel, from what I’ve seen, craves that

interaction. That’s what he’s getting from us and he

is responding.” Mali midfielder Samba Diakite also

impr essed in the Algar ve when he arrived following

the African Cup of Nations. Hughes added: “He’s everything

I thought he was. It may take time to adjust to the

Premier League but given his athleticism and ability

to get ar ound the park and around players, I think

he will be fine.”
