Lambert’s Gun deal

PAUL LAMBERT is lining up a £1.5million summer swoop for Nottingham Forest defender Chris Gunter.

Norwich boss Lambert will make a third attempt this year to sign the Wales international at the end of the season.

The Canaries failed with two bids to take Gunter, 22, in last month’s transfer window but are still sending scouts to watch him.

And cash-strapped Forest are set for a battle to keep the former Tottenham full-back, even if Steve Cotterill’s men beat the drop to League One.
