HART INSPIRED BY PSYCHO’S
(right ENGLAND goalkeeper Joe Hart reckons Stuart Pearce can turn the Three Lions into winners.
The in-form Manchester City shot-stopper has graduated from Pearce’s Under-21s to become the undisputed No.1 in the senior side.
Psycho almost led the Young Lions to Euro glory in 2009 when they were beaten in the final by an outstanding Germany side.
That had also been the case when hard-man Pearce was a player as the Krauts pipped us for a place in the 1990 World Cup final via a penalty shootout.
But that’s closer than we ever got under foreign flops Sven Goran Eriksson and Fabio Capello.
So Hart wouldn’t mind one bit if Pearce remained in temporary control at the Euro 2012 finals.
And if it came down to penalties again, Hart reckons we’d have a much better chance.
He said: “He is a passionate man and being involved with England is perfect for him and what he’s about.
“With Stuart Pearce, everything we have done has been geared around tournament football.
