BOFFINS have developed an app to stop revellers embarrassing themselves by ringing or texting people when they’re drunk.

The ‘Don’t Drink and Dial’ feature can be used on smartphones and lets users select a contact – or contacts – they don’t want to be able to reach during a specified time period.
