Danny Wel up for title scoring run
DANNY WELBECK hopes he has rediscovered his goal-scoring form just in time for Manchester United’s title run-in.
Welbeck, 21, bagged his first goal in 10 games as United destroyed Wolves 5-0 on Sunday to move four points clear at the top of the table.
Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez are also bang in form as the race for the Premier League enters the final stretch.
Welbeck insists his two-month drought was not bothering him, but admits the time has come to start scoring on a regular basis.
He said: “Before the game at Wolves I thought I needed a goal. Thankfully, it came.
“But you can’t let these things play on your mind. You just play your normal game and, as long as the team keeps winning, that’s the main thing.
“It’s a big stage of the season for us.”
