Button flies in to keep Tykes tight
BARNSLEY have signed Tottenham’s 23-year-old goalkeeper David Button on an emergency loan until April 15.
The Tykes are without back-up keeper David Preece for the rest of the season after he fractured a wrist during the warm-up before the match against Southampton on March 10.
Academy stopper Lukas Lidakevicius was on the bench against Reading at the weekend, but Button’s arrival will provide boss Keith Hill with more experienced cover for first choice Luke Steele.
Barnsley will be Button’s 11th different loan club.
He played against the Tykes for Doncaster earlier in the season.
The Spurs youngster has represented England at Under-16, U17, U19 and U20 level.
