MASON MUSTERS MACKAY’S MEN
CARDIFF v COVENTRY
JOE MASON has insisted Car diff’s char ge for the play-offs hasn’t run out of steam.
Malky Mackay’s faltering Bluebirds will play their 47th game of the season as they host str uggling Coventry tonight.
Mackay’s men have only recorded two wins in 10 league matches but striker Mason
claims their bid for a top six finish isn’t knackered.
He said: “Coventry’s a must-win game for us and we know we need to get three points.
“We haven’t got a target of how many wins we’ll need toreach the play-offs, we just concentrate on winning the next game.
“We are professional athletes, so fatigue shouldn’t be a problem.”
Coventry boss Andy Thorn, a former FA Cup winner, reckons saving the Sky Blues would be his biggest achievement.
He said: “I’ve played in cup finals and finished third in the top league as a player but if we come through this it will be my biggest achievement in football.”
