Lapdancer fake cash man jailed
A CONMAN has been jailed after using counterfeit £20 notes to pay for a series of lapdances.
Michael Andrews, 21, was caught after handing over £120 in fake twenties to unsuspecting dancers.
He was snared after suspicions were raised among staff at Wiggle in Portsmouth, Hants, who checked some notes.
Andrews and a friend had left the venue, but returned later – by which time cops had been called.
Police looked at CCTV showing Andrews using three fake £20 notes to pay a lapdancer in November last year.
Andrews, of nearby Havant, Hants, pleaded guilty to five counts of passing counterfeit notes at Portsmouth Crown Court.
He was jailed for 12 months and ordered to pay £160 in compensation to his three victims.
