56 days’ jail for Fab ‘troll’

A TWIT­TER “troll” has been jailed for 56 days for post­ing sick com­ments about tragic soc­cer star Fabrice Muamba.

Stu­dent Liam Stacey, 21, wrote racist and of­fen­sive tweets about the stricken Bolton Wan­der­ers player just min­utes af­ter his heart at­tack.

He was ar­rested and spent a night in po­lice cus­tody af­ter he was re­ported by other users on the so­cial net­work – in­clud­ing Talksport pun­dit Stan Col­ly­more.

When in­ter­viewed by po­lice, Stacey said he was drunk af­ter drink­ing since lunchtime while watch­ing Wales and France play rugby.

He pleaded guilty to racially- ag­gra­vated ha­rass­ment and dis­or­der at Swansea mag­is­trates.

The judge called the Swansea Uni stu­dent’s tweets “vile.”
