Burglar bares all for break-in

A BRAZEN burglar was caught NAKED at the scene of a crime by a shocked housewife.

Thief James Matthews was starkers when found stealing jewellery in a woman’s home.

Matthews, 18, admitted the burglary in the buff after breaking in through an open window.

Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court heard mum Lauren Curtis discovered naked Matthews rifling through her drawers.

The court heard he fled the crime scene in Trelewis, making off with rings and a mobile phone.

Prosecutor Rachel Knight said: “She said that she feels uneasy in her own home and felt shocked to come home and find a man naked.”

Matthews, of Pontypridd, South Wales, offered no explanation why he was naked and was given six months suspended.
