Danny’s set to Shine in sequel
AUTHOR Stephen King has revealed he’s written a sequel to his chilling hit novel The Shining.
The book, penned in 1977, was famously turned into a terrifying Stanley Kubrick horror film starring Jack Nicholson (
The movie told the story of a young boy with psychic abilities called Danny whose father is slowly driven mad by ghosts while holed-up in an isolated hotel.
King, 64, says his follow-up will focus on Danny as a grown man.
He said: “My agent is talking with publishers about Dr Sleep, that’s the sequel to The Shining. I wanted to see what would happen to Danny. I want him to work in a hospice as he has the shining and can help people across as they die.”
