Branson gets a rocket from space trippers

VIRGIN boss Richard Branson ( above) is facing the wrath of wannabe space travellers sick of waiting for his Galactic project to get off the ground.

An array of wealthy tycoons and celebs, including Tom Hanks, Brad Pitt and Ashton Kutcher, have bought tickets for the flights, which were due to start in November 2010.

Now one man on the waiting list, Bassim Haidar, who paid £125,000 six years ago for his ticket, is furious that he’s still not boarded Galactic.

He said: “I wanted to be the first Arab in space, but I can’t get Branson to say when we will fly. I’m very disappointed in him.”

Recently, Branson wrote on his blog: “Our spaceships are in the final stages of our exhaustive test-flight programme. ”
