Corrie’s Brooke won’t go straight

CORRIE babe Brooke Vincent says she loves being a lesbian and is proud to be the first one to grace the cobbles!

The actress, who plays Sophie Webster, says she would hate her character to turn straight!

Brooke, 20, said: “I can put down on my CV, ‘Played a good lesbian’. I’m really comfortable with Sophie being a lesbian now. In fact, I prefer her being a lesbian.

“I feel like I’m helping more people this way – like I’m connecting with a lot more people than if she were straight.

“I was part of Corrie’s first lesbian couple but now it’s just normal and the first thing people associate Sophie with.

“So I am proud of it and I’m proud they chose me to do that.”
