Burning body sparks probe
THE charred remains of a body found under a pile of burning debris following a fire in a supermarket car park have sparked a police investigation.
A police dog handler on a routine patrol spotted the blaze, in the car park of a Sainsbury’s at 3am.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire but cops discovered the body in the ashes.
The unidentifiable body was found in between trolley shelters in the car park, next to several bins.
A police spokesman in Chippenham, Wilts, said: “It is too early to say whether this incident is suspicious but enquiries continue.
“We are asking for anyone in the area at the time to come forward.”
