A LOOTER jailed af­ter mak­ing him­self an ice cream says his “stupid de­ci­sion” ru­ined his life.

An­der­son Fer­nan­des, 22, of New­ton Heath, Manch­ester, has been in cus­tody since he was freed from his 16-month prison term in April and faces de­por­ta­tion to his na­tive Por­tu­gal.

He was jailed af­ter last Au­gust’s ri­ots for en­ter­ing an eatery in Manch­ester city cen­tre and mak­ing a two-scoop ice cream.

He ad­mit­ted bur­glary and an un­con­nected charge of han­dling stolen goods The dad-of-one now faces be­ing sep­a­rated from his part­ner and daugh­ter.

He said: “My life as it was has been de­stroyed.

“It was a stupid de­ci­sion but now I’m go­ing to have to leave my fam­ily.” RANDY Bri­tain’s Got Tal­ent judge Amanda Holden got the book af­ter pal Holly Wil­loughby told her it would be ‘right up your street’.

The 42-yearold said: “When I go to Homebase I never look at rope and chains or any­thing in the same way.
