EDIN EYES EYE-TIES

- By CHRIS MCKENNA

EDIN DZEKO has revealed his interest in a move to Italy as the disgruntled Bosnian wants to bow out at Manchester City.

Dzeko, 26, has increased speculation over his future following last week’s revelation that he was unhappy at being used as a substitute in City’s title run-in last season.

And the striker has done little to ease such talk with his latest revelation.

He said: “I always follow the Italian league and one day I’d like to play in it.

“For now I am a City player, I will stay here. I will have to wait until the end of the month. I’ll see what happens, and if someone else comes.”

One of the interested Italian clubs is AC Milan who want to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic who joined Paris St Germain.

Dzeko (left) added: “I also know that Milan has sold two of its best players.”

City boss Roberto Mancini has hinted that the Blues won’t be signing Robin van Persie.

But even if the Dutchman doesn’t move to the Premier League champions, Dzeko knows he is down the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium.

Carlos Tevez’s return means he is now fourth choice striker – behind the Argentine, Sergio Aguero and Mario Balotelli.
