£1m for car is Virtual Insanity!

Corrie babe slammed for calling country boring

JAMIROQUAI singer Jay Kay has sold his beloved Maserati for more than £1million.

The stunning 1955 Maserati A6G/54 Frua Berlinetta took pride of place at the Virtual Insanity star’s house.

But after winning awards and competing in vintage races, the musician, 42, decided to part ways with the Italian sports car.

He put it up for auction at Gooding & Co’s prestigious Pebble Beach event in California and the hammer went down at £1,050,000 after frenzied bidding.

Jay said: “This Maserati has been one of my favourite cars.”

The Maserati – which was in excellent condition – was one of 155 classic sports cars sold by Gooding & Co over the weekend.

Total sales reached a staggering £72.7m – thrashing last year’s record figure of £50m.

The highest price received was £7.5m for a 1936 Mercedes-Benz 540 K Special Roadster, while a 1960 Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spider Competizione fetched £7.2m. HERE’s a bit of advice, fellas: If you are married to a 33-year-old teacher called Amanda, and live in Chorlton, Manchester, keep a close eye on her.

According to a dating website, she’s the most likely to cheat on her hubby.

What you need to do to make sure she’s not tempted to stray is get fit, treat her well, and keep her busy in the bedroom with nice lingerie and finely-honed sex skills.

(No need to thank me, Mandy, I’d do it for any girl!) TELLY stunna Helen Flanagan has outraged football fans after being accused of trying to get her soccer star boyfriend to move clubs – because she’s “bored”.

Ex- Coronation Street babe Helen was yesterday at the centre of a storm after her fella Scott Sinclair was tipped to move from Swansea back near her friends in Manchester.

WAG Helen, 23, sparked the row after tweeting: “Started to get bored now, been in Wales too long, must take action.”

But Swansea fans were furious as Sinclair, 23, has refused to sign a new contract and is being tipped to join Premier League champs Man City.

One user wrote to Helen: “You’re the reason he wants to leave to leave Swansea, he’ll go to Man City and his career will rot away.” Another said: “Go back to Manchester then. I’m sure you can get Sinclair a job on Corrie because he ain’t going to do much at Man City.”

Helen was born and lived in Manchester while starring as Rosie Webster in the northern soap.

And she again took to Twitter, this time to defend herself.

She said: “My tweet was not meant to offend or be insensitive. Some people need to chill out. I have always loved Swansea.”
