POLICE HUNT SICK SLASHER Knife loon’s random attacks
COPS are hunting a sicko slasher who knifed two women at random in horrifying late night attacks.
The terrified victims were left with horrific injuries after the man approached them from behind and slashed at their faces or necks in Hounslow, south west London,.
Both needed stitches and police say the attacks are being linked.
Extra police have been patrolling the area after the two attacks in the space of 10 days.
The first victim, a 19-yearold, was approached from behind and cut accoss her neck shortly before midnight on August 7.
The second was attacked on August 17 – the 26-year-old victim also approached from behind and then slashed across the face.
The suspect is described as a black man, or a light-skinned black man, aged between 18 and 25 years, and between 5ft 6 to 5ft 11ins.
DCI Amanda Hargreaves, from Homicide and Serious Crime Command, said: “These were completely unprovoked attacks and I would appeal to anyone who recognises the suspect, was in the area, has been followed in the last few weeks, or who has noticed a man fitting the description acting suspiciously, to please come forward.”
Borough Commander for Hounslow Carl Bussey said: “These sorts of crimes are thankfully rare in Hounslow, but I would like to reassure people that my officers are working tirelessly to catch whoever is responsible.”
