PO­LICE HUNT SICK SLASHER Knife loon’s ran­dom at­tacks

COPS are hunt­ing a sicko slasher who knifed two women at ran­dom in hor­ri­fy­ing late night at­tacks.

The ter­ri­fied vic­tims were left with hor­rific in­juries af­ter the man ap­proached them from be­hind and slashed at their faces or necks in Houn­slow, south west Lon­don,.

Both needed stitches and po­lice say the at­tacks are be­ing linked.

Ex­tra po­lice have been pa­trolling the area af­ter the two at­tacks in the space of 10 days.

The first vic­tim, a 19-yearold, was ap­proached from be­hind and cut ac­coss her neck shortly be­fore mid­night on Au­gust 7.

The sec­ond was at­tacked on Au­gust 17 – the 26-year-old vic­tim also ap­proached from be­hind and then slashed across the face.

The sus­pect is de­scribed as a black man, or a light-skinned black man, aged be­tween 18 and 25 years, and be­tween 5ft 6 to 5ft 11ins.

DCI Amanda Har­g­reaves, from Homi­cide and Se­ri­ous Crime Com­mand, said: “These were com­pletely un­pro­voked at­tacks and I would ap­peal to any­one who recog­nises the sus­pect, was in the area, has been fol­lowed in the last few weeks, or who has no­ticed a man fit­ting the de­scrip­tion act­ing sus­pi­ciously, to please come for­ward.”

Bor­ough Com­man­der for Houn­slow Carl Bussey said: “These sorts of crimes are thank­fully rare in Houn­slow, but I would like to re­as­sure peo­ple that my of­fi­cers are work­ing tire­lessly to catch who­ever is re­spon­si­ble.”
