Stars of BBC1 crime drama go topless

GRUMPY telly cop DCI Banks might finally crack a smile after seeing his co-star’s arresting boobs!

The TV detective, played by Stephen Tompkinson, 47, is one of the most miserable coppers to trudge across our screens.

But the sight of sexy actress Caroline Catz showing off her own perky particulars is bound to have him fiddling with his truncheon.

Caroline, 42, who remains clothed in the ITV1 show in which she plays DI Helen Morton, once stripped off for controversial stage show Shopping and F**king in 1998.

Caroline took the role of Lulu in the West End production, the only woman in the play.

It stirred up controversy with its depiction of taboo sex acts including bum sex and blowjobs.

If that’s not enough to cheer DCI Banks up, we’ve also sniffed out snaps of another of the show’s stars baring her boobs.

Amanda Root, 48, appears in tonight’s episode playing widow Mary Rothwell. But she was much more chirpy when she whipped out her bazookas in 1998 TV flick Big Cat.

A BBC insider said: “With any luck these pictures will perk up DCI Banks – he needs a spot of light relief.”
