JAILED FOR SEX LIES AGAINST 5 LOVERS She accused them all of rape
A VINDICTIVE woman was jailed yesterday for a string of false rape claims against five men in eight years.
Leanne Black, 32, repeatedly “cried rape” with bogus sex assault reports after rowing or breaking up with her former partners.
In one case, Black claimed she had been drugged and raped and in another she said a boyfriend kidnapped and molested her.
A court heard her innocent partners faced up to five years in jail if they had been found guilty of the serious sexual allegations.
But Black was caged for two years after being found guilty of undermining the criminal justice system by repeatedly fabricating rape allegations.
A judge warned her that genuine rape victims were “undermined” by her lies.
In the most recent case her partner Kevin Crowley was held on suspicion of rape in March after he called police to report she had thrown plates at him.
Prosecutor David Wooler said officers arrived at the scene of the domestic argument at the home shared by Black and her boyfriend.
He said: “When she was questioned
Then in 2009, she claimed she had been the victim of a serious sexual assault and a year later she fabricated a story about being drugged and raped.
But in 2013, after falsely claiming Mr Crowley raped her while she slept, she was finally brought to justice after admitting perverting the course of justice at Newport Crown Court.
Judge William Gaskell told Black, of Cwmbran, South Wales, she had made it more difficult for genuine rape victims to be believed.
He said: “Women who make false allegations, like you, undermine the system and police investigations.”
