Signed Wayne boots payback
A BUSINESSMAN who scammed £34m of VAT has been forced to hand over a fortune in rare sporting memorabilia – including a pair of Wayne Rooney’s personally signed FOOTBALL BOOTS.
Crooked Thomas Scragg ( 56, was jailed for 17 years after being convicted and jailed for leading one of the biggest scams in British fraud history in July 2010.
The career criminal – whose properties have already been sold – blew his swag on high living and sporting memorabilia – including Rooney’s boots from the 2007 FA Cup final.
The boots – now worth £2,000 – will now be sold alongside other goods bought by Scragg, of Solihull West Mids, at auction.
