Tight Ars costly as Gunners miss out on big names

ARSENE WENGER’S penny-pinching has put Arsenal in danger of failing to land a single big-name transfer target.

Gunners fans are desperate to see the Frenchman bring worldclass players to the Emirates Stadium this summer.

But so far not one has arrived – despite weeks of negotiatio­ns.

Real Madrid insist they have not agreed a fee for Argentina striker Gonzalo Higuain.

And Higuain’s desire to come to London has been put in doubt by news that the Gunners have bid £30million for Luis Suarez.

Liverpool turned that bid down for being too low – as did Manchester United when Wenger tried to tempt Wayne
