ASHLEY COLE has told Wayne Rooney he’d be MAD to turn down the chance to play for Jose Mourinho.
And, in a veiled dig at new Manchester United boss David Moyes, Chelsea full-back Cole claimed the presence of the Special One is enough to make any top player want to move to Stamford Bridge.
In a clear reference to Rooney, Cole said: “For me, if there’s a player Jose wants to come to Chelsea, there would be one thought in my mind – to come here and to be under a great manager.
“It’s a pleasure to play under him. He’s great at motivating players and keeping you on your toes.
“He has proved just how good he is with the number of trophies he’s won with all his different teams.”
Mourinho (below) has had a £26million bid for Rooney turned down, but the Blues boss is expected to come back in with a £30m
offer.
