I’M FAG ASHES LO SO SORRY! Toon new boy Remy apologises to fans for snub

-

ENGLAND’S cricketers have been smoking hot on the pitch so far during this year’s Ashes – and they look to be the same off it!

After they retained the urn following a rain-affected third Test draw at Old Trafford on Monday, some of the team enjoyed a night out in Manchester city centre.

And Tim Bresnan, Joe Root and Graeme Swann celebrated with a crafty FAG or two.

Our picture certainly won’t have pleased England coach Andy Flower, who said yesterday that he expects his bowlers to look after themselves properly in the run-up to the fourth Test at Durham, which starts this Friday.

Flower said: “Durham can traditionally help the fast bowlers, so we would like to exploit that up there.

“Our bowlers will need to look after themselves over the next few days to be ready.” LUIS SUAREZ took another step closer to the Liverpool exit door last night as he was left out of the squad travelling to Norway for a pre-season friendly at Valerenga.

The Kop outfit claimed Suarez would be staying at home “as a precaution following an injury in training”.

The announcement came out of the blue, prompting fresh speculation his time at Anfield is coming to an end.

Suarez has made it clear to the Reds he wants to play in the Champions League and that has alerted Arsenal, who have had two bids rejected, the last of which was just over £40million.

The Gunners are still hoping to push through a deal and, with Suarez staying in England, will now have the chance to discuss their next move with the striker and his agent.
