Councillor had horse sex vid on computer

FORMER parish councillor John Bricknell, 47, yesterday pleaded guilty to possessing a movie-clip of a woman having sex with a horse.

The footage, entitled

was downloaded by Bricknell, in 2007, when it was legal to possess such images, Leicester Crown Court was told.

Such material, which is described in the charge as “grossly offensive, disgusting or otherwise of an obscene character,” involving people having sex with animals, was made illegal in January 2009.

Bricknell, a businessman and former Measham parish councillor, of Leicester Road, Measham, near Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leics, originally denied the charge but changed on the day of trial.

The hearing was adjourned until November 21, for the preparation of a presentence report.
