Cross-eyed boozer ‘starts’ bar brawl

A BAR fight broke out after a cross-eyed man was accused of giving someone “a funny look”.

The bizarre incident took place at a busy karaoke bar in southern China’s Sichuan province.

It began when a drunk customer took offence to the way he was being stared at by a man who suffers from esotropia – the condition which causes cross-eyes.

He then subjected the man to a “severe beating”, according to court reports.

Onlookers say the bar’s owner tried to intervene but was shoved away during the assault which lasted five minutes until cops arrived.

The attacker told them that the victim had been staring at him strangely in an attempt to mock him.

A police source said: “After informing him that the victim was simply cross-eyed, he seemed apologetic.”
