Terrorised
The Kray twins – Ronnie and Reggie – were leaders of the infamous organised crime gang The Firm, which terrorised East London in the 1950s and 60s.
They were arrested in 1968 and both twin brothers were sentenced to life imprisonment the following year.
Ronnie was sent to Broadmoor Hospital as he suffered from paranoid schizophrenia, and passed away on March 17, 1995.
Reggie died of bladder cancer on October 1, 2000 – just a few weeks after being released from prison on compassionate grounds.
