NEW BOSS LENNON IS OK FOR JAY
JAY SPEARING has hailed the impact of new Bolton boss Neil Lennon and believes the Trotters are ready to fly up the Championship.
Bolton were too good for Brentford at the weekend and Lennon’s side played with the kind of confidence that was sorely missing under former manager Dougie Freedman.
Wanderers are still in the drop zone, but captain Spearing insists Lennon has transformed life at the Macron Stadium.
“The boss has come in and given the lads a new lease of life,” he said.
“We know he worked wonders at Celtic, but he has come to Bolton now and we are a different set of lads.
“With his backroom staff, they have been tremendous. They have given the lads massive belief and the confidence is slowly coming back.
“The training is getting quicker and sharper. Touch wood, we’re on the up.
“The lads have been given the freedom to express themselves, especially going forward. It just seems to be flying out of everybody now.”
