That’s according to a poll of readers by top magazine Heat, who say the 27-year-old trumped the likes of Kim Kardashian, Rihanna and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini in the survey.

A spokeswoman said: “Hooray! The sexiest woman in the world is British!

“Michelle may not be on Coronation Street any more, but she’s still very much in your hearts, not least for her overall hotness.”

Last year’s winner Jennifer Lawrence, 24, is down to No2.

Meanwhile former England captain David Beckham took home the ‘ Sexiest Man’ gong, followed by Zac Efron, Channing Tatum, Harry Styles and Jamie Dornan.

The ‘ Biggest Villain’ trophy went to NHS boob job babe Josie Cunningham, with Heat saying: “Josie could SEXIEST MAN: David Beckham CORR: Michelle and the boob pic Tweet she uploaded…but denies they are hers almost have taught a university course on winding up the British public.
