MAN HAS NUTS THE SIZE OF MILEY CYRUS!
A MAN whose scrotum swelled to weigh more than pop babe Miley Cyrus has successfully undergone surgery to have it removed.
Dan Maurer suffered from scrotal lymphedema – an ailment that caused one of his testicles to grow to more than 8½ STONE.
Now, thanks to 14-hour surgery, the growth has been removed.
The 39-year-old said that his condition had affected his relationship with wife of 20 years, Mindy, but following the life-changing operation, the couple may be able to resume sexual relations after seven years of going without.
Healing
Dan, of Battle Creek, Michigan, is now recovering from the surgery at the University of California, Irvine.
The mass in his scrotum was found to weigh 120lbs and Dan also had some stomach fat removed during the surgery too – so is now 10-stone lighter.
His mother, Connie, said: The doctor is very pleased with the surgery and healing. He’s doing fine.”
Dan’s battle with the rare disease saw his ballbag grow abnormally large because of what doctors believe were blocked vessels in the lymphatic system that fail to drain fluid from the area.
However, he is having trouble walking after the operation, having carried the growth for so long, his mum said, who added: “He’s moving baby steps, but he wants to move giant steps.”
Dan is undergoing physiotherapy and may be able to return home in a month.
The tale of his struggle had gone viral on social media earlier this year after a series of stories appeared documenting his efforts to raise money for a costly and dangerous surgery to remove the massive growth.
The publicity allowed him raise close to $30,000 towards the operation.
