babes like Anna Ni­cole Smith IT’S the end of an era – as iconic mag­a­zine have re­vealed they are go­ing to stop pub­lish­ing NUDES!

The leg­endary gen­tle­men’s mag has be­come renowned for its raunchy fully naked pho­to­shoots – but all that is set to come to an end in just six months.

The mag­a­zine launched in De­cem­ber 1953 and fea­tured steamy stripped-off snaps of busty ac­tress Mar­i­lyn Monroe in its first ever edi­tion.

And A-list scorchers such as Anna Ni­cole Smith, Kim Kar­dashian, Mariah Carey and Pamela An­der­son have all graced the pages of Play­boy over the years.

But af­ter 62 years the pub­lish­ers have made the shock an­nounce­ment that they will no longer fea­ture in-the-raw pics in their mag­a­zine, March next year.

Scott Flan­ders, the firm’s chief ex­ec­u­tive, said: “That bat­tle has been fought and won.

“You’re now one click away from ev­ery sex act imag­in­able for free. And so it’s just passé at this junc­ture.”

Play­boy ex­plained that ex­plicit im­ages and con­tent is easily avail­able online these days so their mag no longer serves the same pur­pose.

Their web­site got rid of nu­dity in Au­gust last year – and the com­pany said that traf­fic quadru­pled as a re­sult.
