Marmalade plan gets Rita into a jam!

THE music world has united to slam Rita Ora’s idea to remake the classic hit Lady Marmalade.

In a recent interview the sexy songstress, 24, admitted that she was keen to gather her pop pals for a new version of Labelle’s 1975 soul classic.

The hit was first remade when Christina Aguilera, Pink, Lil’ Kim, Mya, and Missy Elliot teamed up to record it in 2001 for the flick Moulin Rouge!

Rita said: “I’m trying to round up the troops. I think it would be me, Miley Cyrus, Charlie XCX – she’d be fun – and Iggy Azalea.”

But news of her plans had Twitter users declaring that perfection had already been achieved.

The hate got so extreme Iggy Azealia, 25, took to social media to blast the X Factor judge ( above), saying she had nothing to do with the idea.

She Tweeted: “Please leave me out of the whole Lady Marmalade conversation. I have nothing to do with Rita’s ideas & agree it should be left alone.”
