James gets no Peace from fans

THE star of saucy television drama War and Peace told of his “creepy” fan mail hell.

James Norton, 30, has shot to fame in the hit BBC One series alongside babe Lily James.

But the actor said it’s not his role as Russian Prince Andrei Bolkonsky that saw him bombarded with saucy fan mail, it was his part as a SERIAL KILLER.

Norton ( above) began his career by playing disturbed Tommy in dark thriller Happy Valley.

He said: “Girls, often quite young girls, would write me notes telling me they wanted me to take them down to a cellar. It was creepy.”

War and Peace, dubbed ‘Phwoar and Peace’ by fans because of its sexy plot lines, is based on the classic novel by Leo Tolstoy.

The book follows the aristocratic families of Russia as the country is invaded by the French army.

As part of the plot a brother and sister start shagging and a prince falls in the love with his cousin.
