IIN ‘My toilet hell with bearded man in wedding dress!’
GAY HORROR DEEVON
THE gent’s toilets in a sleepy village have been closed indefinitely after they became a popular meeting place for gay sex people.
Shocked parish councillors took the decision after a local was propositioned by a bearded man in his late 50s or 60s, wearing a white wedding dress.
The conveniences are being advertised on a seedy website, complete with directions and the best times to visit.
Newton Poppleford Parish Council in Devon has now closed the male facilities until further notice.
The local resident who was propositioned by the man in the dress said he was horrified by the incident.
He said: “I intended to do some business in the village and I went in to use the gentlemen’s public convenience which adjoins the car park.
“Imagine my shock and horror when I entered the toilet to find a bearded man, in his late 50s or early 60s, wearing a full white wedding dress.
“He invited me into the cubicle with him, and stated that the toilets in Newton Poppleford are a well-known gay haunt, advertised and promoted on a website.
“I find this abhorrent and reprehensible, since there is a school very close by, and children pass by there every day.
“The man wearing the white wedding dress did not seem at all concerned by my alarm at his presence, what he was wearing or what he was suggesting we do.”
David Atkins, from the Parish Council, said the police had been informed and that the decision had been taken to immediately close the toilets.
He said: “We’ve had issues before, but not like this.”
