Britain doesn’t offer any more protection for British workers.
It doesn’t offer any hope whatsoever of controlling immigration, which is the number one political topic of our time.
It doesn’t offer the chance to issue our own laws and control our own food and fisheries policies.
And it doesn’t stop us being part of a club that is shrinking economically while encouraging yet more poor countries to join it – and all at OUR expense.
June 23 might seem a little way off but I believe it will come around very quickly. The debate has already begun in workplaces, homes, pubs and working men and women’s clubs.
I truly believe Britain is more than ready, more than capable, and more suited to standing on its own two feet.
It is certainly strong enough to leave its unhappy marriage with the European Union.
The truth is we simply don’t need to be in the EU. We have enough men and women in suits of our own, and besides, there’s a whole world out there waiting to partner with us.
Roll on June. Our futures start now.
